School of Foreign Languages and Intellectual Property Publishing House Agree to Jointly Build a Practice Base for MTI Education.

In July 2016, after full consultation, the agreement on jointly building a practice base for university students was officially signed in Dalian by the School of Foreign Languages, DUT and Intellectual Property Publishing House (IPPH). The signing ceremony was held on the morning of October 13^that School of Foreign Languages. Hu Xinhua, director of the Translation Division of IPPH, Wang Peng, project manager of IPPH and Ren Feifei, project supervisor of IPPH and the leaders, the leading faculty and other postgraduate representatives from the School of Foreign Languages attended the ceremony. The two sides would cooperate in offering MTI students internships and practice opportunities, and strengthening the cultivation of translation talents. It can help us share resources to achieve complementary advantages and common development.

The establishment of Practice Base for MTI Education will greatly promote the development of the MTI Education. School of Foreign Languages will cooperate with IPPH to offer courses on intellectual property and patent translation. With the help of “I translation + patent translation platform” and “patent translation training system” provided by IPPH, our school will actively participate in building of talent pool of national patent translator/teaching staff and patent translator/ intellectual property professionals.
